Encouragement to Write

For those of you who are unaware, I have enrolled in online classes in English and Creative Writing. I love to read and I love to write and I love to speak. My desire for this particular degree is to learn how to be a better communicator. It is my understanding (and I have no idea from where this understanding came) that if you write well then you will speak well. Since I am a Pastor/Teacher, I want to speak well as I strive to preach and teach well.

With that said, there will most likely be a series of things that I am writing on my blog over the next 10 weeks or so. I am going to try my hand (and my mind) at writing at least once a week and most likely even more often than this. My time is limited, so there may be some weeks where I only have one post and others where I have more. Either way, the point is for me to begin to write and to build the habit of writing according to the instruction that I am receiving.

Of course, I have no idea what I will write about. It may be similar to what I have written. It may be different. It may be understandable and it may not be. I just know that we are living in a day where we need some well-written works from people who are well-spoken and who know their subject well.

To the many of you who have encouraged me to write over the last several years, thank you. For those of you who simply skim through my posts, thank you. For those of you who are new to my blog, thank you. Share these musings as you will.
