I was sound asleep just a few minutes ago. I have not heard my twin sister’s voice since she left us on June 27, 2014. I woke up coughing and I heard her ask me if I was alright as she placed her hand on my cheek. I told her that I was, I just have bronchitis but that I am taking the medicines that the doctor gave me. Then it dawned on me, I was dreaming as I was telling her not to go away but to stay. She can’t stay. She has to return, she said. She came to check on me knowing that I was not feeling well. It is something that we had the sense between each other when we knew something was not right. But it is right…for her. She is where she is supposed to be. I’m not sure what she is doing but I bet she’s having a great time singing, laughing, praising, worshiping, meeting the saints of old and the new ones she never knew. I’m sure she is facing Jesus and He is still saying to her, “Well done, thy good and faithful servant! Well done!” I’m sure she is not thinking of things left behind or of those left behind. She knows that we will see her again. I’m sure is wanting us to see and do what she is doing.
I woke up in tears asking her to stay, but she had to go. The dream was over for the time being, but the tears still flow.
I miss you, Niecey, but I will see you again and you can show me around and tell me what I need to do when I get there. You have always been a great teacher. I love you.
