The Blood on the Ground
I have just witnessed pictures of blood on the ground. This blood is from goats, chickens and other animals that had been sacrificed by people who believe they can have their sins forgiven. These people are in India and this is common there. People who sacrifice to many gods that neither hear nor see. These gods are made by men and do not exist without someone creating them.
The God of the Bible says,
There you will serve gods, the work of man’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see nor hear nor eat nor smell. But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul. (Deuteronomy 4:28-29)
There is only one true God who is not made by men. Rather, He is the maker of men. My prayer is that those who believe not God would come to believe Him. But what does He say?
How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things. (Romans 10:14-15)
There is blood from One who gave of Himself sacrificially. His blood was spilt on behalf of you and me. His blood is what is necessary for the remission of sins. Paul the apostle put it this way:
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth. (Ephesians 1:7-10)
Jesus Christ died according to the Scriptures, the Bible, was buried, and rose again according to the Scriptures. Trust Him! Believe Him! When you do He forgives you and washes you clean, sets you apart for Himself with a love that is everlasting, and He declares you righteous in Himself.
